My work is almost exclusively landscape but the subject matter and print techniques depend on
the landscapeI want to convey. Inspiration comes from places I have visited, and feel a connection with,
so a sense of place is important. Etching is a favourite technique for the monochrome gritty Yorkshire landscapes
that are found near my home also for architectural details. Combinations of monoprintwith screenprint or
litho overlay give a painterly effect. Multi layered screen prints depict European cityscapes that caught
my eye on my travels. The possibilities seem endless!
